Nothing too exciting happened in my neck of the woods. My son’s girlfriend came to visit for most of the week. The weather was mostly yuck out- warm, muggy, and rainy. I did not get a whole lot of reading in either – it’s sort of a slump and life things going on.
I am trying to figure out other types of posts I can share on my blog. Lately I feel like I keep sharing the same stuff (WWW Wednesdays, Salon Sundays, Monthly Wrap Up, Library Savings, Books Acquired, and obviously reviews) and it just feels stale to me. If you’d like to share any ideas I am all ears.
I am reading an older Amazon First Reads choice that I never got around to reading called White Out. I am using it as for two HRCYED 3.0 prompts as well.
I am listening to an ALC of Three Reasons For Revenge. It takes place in Australia and the author lives there, so one for The Laws of Five challenge.
I am about to start The Pallbearers Club, a book I borrowed from a friend.
I’ve watched almost every single match of the World Cup this year. What am I going to do once the tournament is over? Probably get back in to reading, lol!!!
This is an older show, and I am sure I’ve seen some of it before… but it popped up on my TikTok page last week and I decided to watch from season 1.

My blog feels stale too. I wish I knew what to do about it. Reading is my only hobby, so I don’t know what else to write about!
I read and play video games… that’s about it! Maybe I should blog about other things in my life other than stuff revolving around books? Thanks for popping by :)
I know that feeling! Sometimes it helps to branch out beyond reviews. I’ve started mixing in reader lifestyle posts, book club ideas, recipes, and even wrote a post about overcoming a reading slump if you want to take a look. It’s been a fun way to keep blogging feeling fresh. I hope you find a few new ideas that get you excited again. Happy reading!
I used to always post a picture or two on Wordless Wednesdays, and that was fun. I seem to be in a bit of rut, too!

Sorry to hear that things are feeling stale. I used to post every single day, but since my mom passed in April, I have had a hard time getting back into everything that I used to do. I don’t have any ideas on what else you could post, but I hope that you figure out what makes you happy with posting (and doesn’t feel stressful). Have a great week!
Enjoy the relaxed time this summer. I don’t know about other types of posts. I have many memes I created. I like what another blog – I Wish I Lived in a Library – is trying a new recipe once a week and reporting on the results and sharing the recipe. It depends on your interests.

Your son and his girlfriend look so happy at graduation – beautiful couple :) I’m in the same spot – wanting to write more, but sort of feeling silly if it’s all blog memes…. I’m off work on Thursday, and was looking through posts and thinking I’ll do an old Throwback Thursday with a childhood picture and story.
