Review: Slaying Monsters For The Feeble by Annette Marie

Title: Slaying Monsters For The Feeble
Author: Annette Marie
Format: audiobook
Length: 8 hours 27 minutes
Narrator: Cris Dukehart
Rating: 3 stars
Publication Date: February 4, 2019

I powered myself through this one, relying on my love of the narrator, Cris Dukehart, to get me through it. The main character Robin straight up annoys me at every turn, and especially when she treated Zylas crappy for no reason. This one also lost me once the vampires showed up in the story. The story fits in to the read along just fine, this one was just not my cup of tea.

  1. Soy this is not your fav. I love Robin but I’m getting others who don’t. She is compassionate and has real integrity. She and Zylas are feeling out their partnership and moral values. It’s not easy. I forgot all about the vampires in the story.

    1. I know you love Robin and I always feel bad saying I don’t like her. I am absolutely enjoying the read-along as a whole and so glad I decided to branch out and try a genre/series I normally wouldn’t read!

  2. I totally agree with you! I really don’t like Robin either and was beginning to think I was the only one. I mainly read this book for Zylas and the other characters. That said, I did enjoy learning more about the world-building and the demons. Great short review!

    1. I also read for Zylas and the other characters. I want to like Robin so bad but I just… can’t. I definitely am into the world building, the whole read-along as a whole has been fantastic!
