I loved reading as a child and once I became a teenager I just abruptly stopped- no real reason behind it – I think that life just got in the way. I got myself back into reading during The Pandemic (because what else was there to do, lol). I noticed that I was spending a lot of money my family did not have on books I wasn’t reading right away and subscription boxes I was not enjoying receiving, and thought I should cut back on my spending. I started using my library for all my reading needs (physical location, Libby and Hoopla) since 2023 and I found out that it’s totally possible to not spend unnecessarily on my hobby.
I also love doing jigsaw puzzles and playing video games on my PS5.
