That Library Girl’s First Blogaversary

After META decided that I was a fake person after having a personal Facebook page since 2012- that page and all my accounts linked to that Facebook page were lost in the void. I swore off any social media for months afterwards because I was so angry at losing all my family’s photos / memories, and my Bookstagram posts that I worked so hard on during the pandemic.

Then one random day I decided to make a blog and start over from scratch. I can talk about books on a new blog instead of on Facebook and Instagram. I Am really enjoying my blog space on the internet and for the most part I have been consistent with my writing/posting.
Eventually, I ended up making an Instagram page. It gets no traction whatsoever because of the new algorithm style and how little I have decided to be on social media as of late.

My recent blog posts:

  1. Happy blogaversary! Taking up scape on the internet by actually writing and making stuff is so important! Social media insists on us only consuming content, but by writing and creating your own corner, you’re actively using these spaces for what they were meant for. It’s all about human expression. Here’s to many more years of blogging! ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ

  2. A huge congrats on your first Blogaversary! You’ve built such a wonderful little corner for yourself here. I truly love visiting to see what you’ve been reading and checking out from the library—it’s great to meet a kindred spirit! I hope blogging stays just as fun for you, and I can’t wait to see what you share next.

  3. Happy Blogiversary. That is really too bad that you lost all your pictures and things. I hope you are enjoying being part of the blogging community, Melissa.
