Review: Kill For Me, Kill For You by Steve Cavanagh

I gave Kill For Me, Kill For You by Steve Cavanagh four stars because it completely pulled me in with its dark, twisty premise and kept me guessing the whole time I was reading. The concept is chilling and clever, and the pacing made it hard to put down once things really got going. I especially liked how the multiple POVs were essential to the story. Seeing events unfold from different perspectives added layers to the plot and kept building suspense, making me want to keep reading to piece everything together.  The characters were compelling, even if not always likable, which added to the overall intensity. Just when I thought I had things figured out, another twist would shift everything.

Last week I got home from work to find a package on my porch. I received Disrupt Everything—and Win by James Patterson and Dr. Patrick Ledden. This book publishes September 29, 2025.

I am apart of James Patterson’s Street Team so thank you to them for sending me this book!

Disruption is the most powerful force of change in our lifetime.

Every day we are confronted with:

  • Sudden pivots at our workplace and in the job market
  • Rule-changing technology such as Artificial Intelligence
  • Unexpected crises and a culture of chaos
  • The sinking feeling that we are losing control of our lives

This book is about taking back control. It’s easy to follow and easy to turn into lifelong habits. It has been thoroughly researched and examined. Simply put, Disrupt Everything works.

One question: Are you ready to Disrupt Everything and take control of your future?

Challenges:

Review: This may be the DULLEST book I’ve ever read in my entire life. I forced myself through this entire book!
The concept of the story being told backwards was intriguing and this is why I wanted to read the book. The whole middle of the book was so slow and seemed to not have any meaning to the plot.
I’m normally a Peter Swanson fan, and this one did not hit!

I received a hardcover copy in the mail for free from HarperCollins.

Last week I got home from work to find a package on my porch. I opened it, not expecting any book mail… and I was so surprised to find Peter Swanson’s next book Kill Your Darlings in my hands. I immediately posted to Instagram on Thursday, but thought I would post about the book on the blog today.

Going through my emails, I found that I had signed up to be a HarperCollins Tastemaker a little while back, and apparently was approved (so cool!). So thank you to them for sending me the book!
