Getting Set Up For A Successful 2027 Reading Year Via Spreadsheet(s)

Two things reading wise I need to get in order before 2027 kicks off.

I need to decide on ONE, TO NO MORE THAN, TWO Google Spreadsheets to keep track of my reading stats/goals, instead of the four or five I normally go with the past few years. I have a main one I’ve been using since 2022, but it’s ugly as hell. I have a few others that I like, but never consistently stick with… probably because it doesn’t do all the things/stats I want. I literally keep typing the same information into multiple spreadsheets and it’s time consuming. So that’s a big November goal I want to figure out!

Also. My husband and I are cleaning out our attic soon. We have tons of crap stored up there that never gets used, or even looked at. I went up there last week looking for something random and found a ton of BOOKS up there from who the heck knows when (probably when we moved into the house almost twenty years ago)! I want to bring the books down, decide if I am keeping them or getting rid of them (selling/donate/little free library). And if I am keeping them I need to add them to my “owned books” part of the above spreadsheet for 2027.

These are the spreadsheets I currently use, if you care.

This is my main spreadsheet.

This is my secondary spreadsheet.

I have this one, and I was thinking of using it for next year…

They all have their pros and cons of course. I just need to find one I am in love with and does everything I want it to. I start with one, then find a new one and import my data over… and pretty much rinse and repeat all year long, instead of just picking ONE and using it consistently.

An entire post about spreadsheets… what a nerd!

Anyway, please share what spreadsheet you use (if any) for keeping track of your reading stats, etc.
