The Hannah Swensen Mystery Series by Joanne Fluke is a cozy mystery series about Hannah Swensen, a baker who owns The Cookie Jar in the small town of Lake Eden, Minnesota.
When murders occur in town, Hannah uses her knowledge of the community to solve the mysteries—often alongside (or ahead of) local detective Mike Kingston and her friend Norman Rhodes.
The books mix small-town life, lighthearted detective work, romance, and baking, and each story includes dessert recipes. The series began with Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder and has grown to more than 30 books.
Q: What is your favorite type of pie?
A: Mine is apple pie, but it has to be warm and have vanilla ice cream on top!
